My Testimonies

First Testimony

The greatest testimony of my life is giving my life to Christ at the age of 10 while in primary school.

Since I was a child, my mother always told me that I had a calling from God, though I didn’t fully understand what she meant at the time. She shared how, during her pregnancy with me, she faced severe complications. In the operating room, as doctors prepared for surgery, she made a covenant with God—if He kept both her and the baby alive, she would dedicate me to Him.

Although my birth was challenging, and she fell into a coma for days, she eventually recovered. When she woke up, she hesitated to ask my father and the doctors if I had survived. As if reading her mind, the doctor gently tapped her shoulder and reassured her, saying, “Don’t worry, your baby is alive. However, you won’t be able to see the baby until you have fully recovered, and the child will need to stay in an incubator for eight weeks.”

My journey with Christ truly began when I gave my life to Him at Scripture Pasture Christian Center. That day, Pastor Olubi Johnson led me to Christ. At the time, I was staying with my cousins in Bashorun, Ibadan. After the prayer, those of us who had come forward were ushered into a counseling room, where ministers spoke to us. By the time the session ended, the church service had concluded, and my aunt, brother, and cousins were already waiting for me in the car park.

As we drove home, my aunt asked if I understood the decision I had made, and I responded confidently, “Yes, I gave my life to Christ.” Everyone in the car smiled at me, acknowledging the significance of my decision.

A week later, my aunt mentioned that she had noticed a change in me. She said I had been unusually quiet since that day. I didn’t know what to say in response—I simply smiled.

Second Testimony

My second testimony pertains to my gaining admission into secondary school. At one point, it seemed all hope was lost. I took entrance exams for Command Military School and Federal Government Colleges but faced challenges securing admission.

Eventually, I was admitted to Loyola College, Ibadan, and later completed my secondary education at the Nigerian Air Force Secondary School, Makurdi. Despite my strong desire to study in Ibadan, circumstances seemed to direct me elsewhere. However, God intervened at the eleventh hour, making a way for me.

3rd Testimony

Reflecting on my academic journey, I am profoundly grateful for the strength and perseverance that enabled me to overcome significant health challenges during my secondary education. Despite these obstacles, I achieved one of the top results in my set, a testament to Gods mercy, resilience and determination.

The health issues I faced often made it difficult to attend classes regularly and stay focused on my studies. There were times when the prospect of keeping up with my peers seemed daunting. However, with unwavering faith in God, support from my family and teachers, and a steadfast commitment to my goals, I navigated through these trying times.

Securing university admission in the same year I graduated from secondary school was a significant milestone. It not only marked the culmination of years of hard work but also reinforced the belief that challenges can be transformed into stepping stones toward success.

This experience has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the power of God in my life, perseverance and faith in God. It serves as a constant reminder that, regardless of the hurdles we face, We should always keep our eyes on Jesus, with determination and support, we can achieve our aspirations.
